Text Box: FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS
Please remember that hospital insurance plans do not normally provide full coverage for your hospital bill. Your hospitalization coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company, and we will cooperate to the fullest in expediting your claim. However, you are ultimately responsible for your account with the hospital.

Citrus Memorial Hospital provides the same quality of care to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. If you anticipate difficulty concerning payment for your hospitalization, we urge you to consult our credit department at 344-6597 in order for us to assist you.

Hospital Charges
Your daily room rate covers your room, regular nursing service, meals, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, television and local telephone calls. Other services such as operating and recovery rooms, obstetrical services, medication, diagnostic imaging tests, laboratory and other tests will be billed separately as they are ordered by your physician. Your hospital bill, of course, does not include your attending physician’s and other physician fees. Professional fees for anesthesiology, pathology, and radiology will be billed separately by the physician.

The full daily charge is made for the first day of your hospital stay, regardless of what time you are admitted. No charge is made for the day of discharge.

Medicare
Medicare does not pay for a private room, except in very unusual circumstances, such as isolation for communicable diseases. If you have any questions concerning Medicare coverage, you can call 1-800-633-4227. (www.medicare.gov)

Late Charges
Charges for treatment or medication ordered the 24 hours preceding discharge may not be received at the Business Office in time to appear on your bill. All late charges and / or credits will be reflected on your final hospital bill, which you will receive within a few days of your return home.

Itemized Statement
You have the right to receive an itemized statement upon request. The itemized statement shall be provided, if requested, following discharge. Please contact the insurance department at 352-726-1551, if you wish an itemized bill.
