Tommy Munci

I’m a patient of Connie Bautista at Sugarmill Woods. I went to see her because I couldn’t sleep, so I couldn’t function. She said I needed to get an EKG and sent me to Dr. Ansari. He found out I had a low platelet problem. After nine weeks of treatment I was finally able to have Dr. Kim do surgery on me.

That day Dr. Kim changed my life! He took my wife’s hand and my hand, and finally his hand and put them all on my heart. He then led a prayer with us.  I had never believed in God before this moment, but now I do!

My recovery amazed my family. My nurse before the surgery taught me to meditate and told me the mood you go into surgery with is the one you come out with. I’m currently in Cardiac Rehab and the great care has continued there. Everyone at Citrus has been truly interested in my care and how I’m doing.

This experience reminded me of something a college professor once told me – give your time to people, not money or things. The best gift is time and because of Citrus Memorial and Dr. Kim, I have time today!
