The Citrus Memorial Diabetes Support Group will host its next meeting on Wednesday, January 23 at 10:30am in the Citrus Memorial Auditorium on the main hospital campus.
The Diabetes Support Group offers those living with diabetes an opportunity to interact with others who may be experiencing similar issues.
This month’s program features a representative from Universal Healthcare who will discuss Medicare Advantage HMO, PPO and PFFS plans. She will discuss the difference between the plans, helping the group to make wise healthcare coverage decisions.
Meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of every month and the meeting is open to the public. For further information please call (352) 341-6110.

The Citrus Memorial Diabetes Support Group provides diabetic patients, family members and caregivers with an opportunity for sharing and learning valuable information to effectively manage the disease. Diabetes is one of the fastest growing diseases in the United States and is a gateway to many other diseases; it can be effectively managed through exercise, medication and diet. The group will offer a variety of guest speakers throughout the year including dietitians, pharmacists, and physicians.
