Health Insurance Plans Accepted at Citrus Memorial may vary, so check here to see if your insurance is on our list. We’re continually negotiating and contracting with new insurers to ensure that our community has access to the high-quality, low-cost healthcare it deserves.

Business Office

Our Business Office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Citrus Memorial Business Office is available to help patients with questions regarding insurance coverage and payment methods for their hospital bills. The staff in the business office commonly answers questions regarding various insurance carriers, charges on patient bills, and advice on financial programs and charity care to pay for needed medical services. Available payment methods include: check; VISA or Discover credit card; and debit cards.

Your health coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company. While we will assist in expediting your claims, you are ultimately responsible for payment of your account.

Fees for the professional services of your attending physician, surgeon, radiologist, anesthesiologist or pathologist are not included in your hospital bill. Your will be billed separately for their services.

Managed Care Answer Guide - This guide is to assist our patients in understanding their Provisions of their Managed Care Plan, to aid in Understanding Managed Care Terminology; and  to provide a consumer guide to selecting an insurance plan.

Financial Counseling Department

If you would like to speak to a Patient Financial Counselor, or request an application for our sponsorship program please call (352)341-6064, from 8:00 to 6:00, Monday through Friday. Our financial counselors are trained to assist you with payment programs, Medicaid eligibility and  insurance eligibility as well as our Hospital Sponsorship Progam.

Patient Loan Program:
We realize that paying your medical bills can present an unexpected expense. We are pleased to offer our patients affordable monthly payment plans that will help reduce the pressure of your healthcare obligations.

Medicaid:
The State of Florida also implements a Medicaid program which is a source of health insurance for low income individuals who meet criteria (age, disabled, dependent children and pregnant women to name a few of the categories of coverage).

Public Assistance Center
Citrus Memorial has partnered with the State of Florida’s Department of Children and Families to open a Public Assistance Center office on the South end of the Medical Campus to assist Citrus County residents in applying for State financial programs. The office is equipped for applying online for Medicaid,  Food Stamps and TANF (Temporary Aid for Needy Families)
