Farhaad Golkar, M.D. recently joined Inverness Surgical Associates and Citrus Memorial Health System. He earned his Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Subsequently he received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He remained at USF to complete his General Surgery training as well as an additional fellowship in Hepato Pancreato Biliary Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Tampa General Hospital. He also practiced as a Trauma surgeon at Tampa General Hospital.

Dr. Golkar is board certified in General Surgery and is certified in hepatic, pancreatic, and biliary surgery by the Americas Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association (AHPBA). He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His specific focus is on treating patients with pancreatic cancer, biliary disease, liver disease, and minimally invasive/laparoscopic surgery for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
