INVERNESS, FL – Citrus Memorial Hospital today announced it is seeking volunteers for positions throughout the 204-bed Inverness hospital.
“There are a variety of positions available,” said Volunteer Manager Penny Zaphel. “At the moment we have a number of host positions as well as opportunities for Emergency Room Assistants.”
Open positions include:
- Welcome Desk Host – Main Hospital
- Welcome Desk Host – Medical Office Building
- Welcome Desk Courier
- Admitting Courier
- Clerical Assistant
Since Citrus Memorial Hospital opened in 1957, volunteers have promoted and advanced the welfare of patients, family and staff of the hospital. Starting with only a handful of ladies, the volunteer base has grown to more than 500 members, students and pastors.
CMH volunteers serve at many locations including the main hospital, medical office building and Genesis Women’s Center. They can be spotted throughout 40 departments, most visibly at the welcome desk, gift shop and as waiting room hosts and hostesses. Many volunteers contribute one four-hour shift per week and assist in raising funds for charitable donations.
